Ace Cricketer Yusuf Pathan Visits CCIL Bandipur!
As part of promoting ‘Save the Tiger’ campaign, Indian ace cricketer Yusuf Pathan visited Country Club Wildlife Resort Bandipur on 14th July 2012. Taking time from his busy cricketing schedule, the aggressive all-rounder and wildlife enthusiast visited Bandipur National Park to spread awareness about the decline in Indian tiger population. He visited ‘Project Tiger’ sites and met forest officials in the National Park to study the ground realities and the success of Government sponsored programme.
Started by well-known Indian cricketers Sandeep Patil, Harbhajan Singh and Yusuf Pathan, ‘Save the Tiger’ campaign is an initiative to save the critically endangered species in India. To support the cause, many Indian cricketers have joined the campaign by adopting Tigers at various biological parks and zoos across the nation. ‘Save the Tiger’ team organizes exhibition cricket matches, fashion shows and entertainment events to spread awareness and raise funds for the campaign.
